With Andy’s experience in design and construction industry as an architect and in sustainability promotion as a sustainability officer at Austin Community College District (ACC), he can bring in-depth industry knowledge and educational resources to the Chapter’s benefit. In his early career, Andy had the privilege of leading a design team for the Ronald McDonald House Charities in Austin TX, one of the first LEED Platinum buildings in Texas. Andy is thankful that we have a strong sustainable design and construction communities in Austin and Central Texas. It’s a team effort to create a great city we want live in. Andy is committed to sustainability and the environment and also is a strong advocate of the Chapter. Andy has been a Chapter member since April 2010.Through his work with the ACC, he has lead a comprehensive sustainability plan for the district, which resulted in several national recognition including the climate leadership award in 2012 by the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment(ACUPCC). Andy is very excited with the opportunity to serve the USGBC Central Texas-Balcones Chapter and honored to be among great leaders in this Board of Director election.
