We Texans are passionate about our land, air, lakes and streams. Our environment shapes our lives and our children’s lives. How do we keep pace with our enviable growth, yet instill our sustainable values in our area? Bonny Gray has practiced architecture in Central Texas for the last 28 years. In those years, she has seen the Austin-San Antonio corridor grow from a sleepy, manageable area to a robust, vibrant economy with record growth and unprecedented construction occurring everywhere. With this growth comes the opportunity for sustainable design and construction at each and every corner. We are lucky we live in this wonderful environment which offers us a platform to reach many more people with our fantastic ideas of green building and sustainable design. Bonny has lived and promoted sustainable ideas for years through her professional projects, leadership positions in the local AIA chapter, the USGBC Green Schools Committee and SXSW Eco. Her many volunteer hours committed to raising the bar for green, and sustainable environments through these organizations, keeps her focused and inspired.
Bonny’s detailed experiences overseeing construction on several LEED projects reinforces her commitment to spreading my “lessons learned” with the Chapter and gives her a unique perspective on sharing USGBC’s message. Bonny would like to invite you to peruse her responses and professional experience in her application and looks forward to helping the Chapter spread our very important sustainable agenda.
