Jim has the dedication, time, willingness and commitment to promoting the philosophy of our chapter and advancing the values of our Board. Simply stated, being on the Board is more than an honor or recognition, it requires a willingness and dedication to provide the time and services required of this position. Jim has worked in the construction industry as a Project Manager, Senior Estimator, Design Build Integration Manager and Pre-Construction Manager for over 25 years. Presently, his position is Construction Services & Sustainability Manager where he coordinates and leads a diverse group of people from the owner (private, public, institutional, governmental), architectural, engineering and other construction professionals in the design and construction of design-build projects. Jim has been instrumental in providing LEED leadership for S&P on 31 projects totaling 3,550,000 sf for a total value of $967,000,000. He has served as the Communications Chair (2008), Chair Elect (2009), Chair (2010) and Immediate Past Chair (2011) for the Texas Gulf Coast Chapter (aka Greater Houston Area Chapter), where he saw a number of changes in the way we communicate to our members as well as the community. This has given him a great opportunity to work with fellow board members as well as chapter staff. Almost forgotten is Jim’s work on the Hurricane Katrina/NOLA Charrette at Greenbuild in Atlanta 10 years ago for which he received the first Greater Houston Area Chapter Outstanding Environmental Leader Award.
