With a background in architecture, a passion for environmental stewardship, and a mission to expand the concept of sustainable design and development outside the building, Lisa believes she will bring a unique perspective to the Board of Directors. Her experience in improving land development practices through sustainable and regenerative methods aligns perfectly with the mission of the USGBC Central Texas – Balcones Chapter. Lisa lives and works in Austin, and is looking forward to helping the Chapter focus on pertinent environmental issues and broaden its reach within the land development sector in our area. Currently, she works on the Sustainable Sites Initiative at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, developing the SITES Rating System for sustainable land design and development. Prior to SITES, Lisa was the Director of Communications at COOKFOX Architects in New York City, where she was very involved with the local USGBC chapter. Lisa would love to once again be part of the mission-based camaraderie, and is excited about the potential opportunity to further the Chapter’s mission and to inspire and connect others. There is much to be done, and she is eager to get started!
